Hi, I’m Barbara Kanowick, your very own professional organizer and personal assistant. Originally from Poland, I’ve been in the U.S. since 1978. I graduated from the University of Warsaw’s prestigious law school and then let my love of adventure carry me to America.
Here I’ve worked for companies and individuals as an executive assistant, research assistant, and administrator. The thread that ran through all these jobs, as well as through the running of my own successful business, was organization. Organizing the office, putting in place effective, sustainable systems, spotting and fixing the bottlenecks and problem areas, were always the fun parts of any job I did. I’m happy to put these skills to work in your home, home office, small business, or corporation.
Whenever you work with me, you can be assured of the strictest confidentiality. Whether you’re concerned about your business information or the level of mess in your home or office, please know that everything I see and hear remains between us.
Aside from organizing, I love trains, steam engines, model building, travel, and photography. I read at every opportunity, especially about history. My interest in international affairs led to my involvement with the World Affairs Council of Sonoma County.
Did you know? My middle initial is E
E for Efficient. E for Effective. E for Excellent.
Here is a model I painstakingly created, with a dear friend, over a period of several years. It’s the Dar Pomorza, a Polish sailing ship, built in 1909, whose name means “gift of Pomerania.” Thousands of maritime students trained on the ship, which is now housed at the National Maritime Museum at Gdańsk.
